HoneyBee started out as merely a far off dream. Owning my own wedding business was on the 15 year bucket list. This past summer after doing some soul searching I decided why wait? It has been a year full of change. I am currently in the process of finishing my masters at UT, I finished my collegiate running career, raising a new puppy, and starting my own business. HoneyBee would not have been possible without my mom or boyfriend who have encouraged, shopped, and assisted in anyway possible. I could not have a better support team than my family and dear friends.
This summer was spent doing DIY projects, going to estate sells and flea markets, and reading everything I could get my hands on. It has not been easy, but it has been truly rewarding watching my hard work come together to create the business. HoneyBee has a long way to go to meet the vision in my head, but with a little time and a lot of perseverance my dream is slowly becoming a reality.
“The ever determined bee is the symbol of accomplishing the impossible. The bee’s body is really too large for it’s wings and they should not be able to fly at all. We of course, understand how it does fly (it flaps its wings like there is no tomorrow) so the bee remains a symbol of accomplishing anything you put your mind to.”
Upon receiving my business licensee my mom sent me this in a card, this was the perfect quote for my startup adventure. Here is to an exciting prosperous 2014 year for HoneyBee Events.
