The styled photo shoot ,Gaslight Enchantment ,was the artistic brain child of photographer Chastidyi Parrot, of Star Noir Photography ,based in Sevierville, TN. The shoot plays heavily on the steampunk subculture, which frankly, I had to research prior to the shoot. Initially, I felt ridiculous not having heard of this theme, but later on that same weekend “Randy to the Rescue” had a Steampunk Bride and he asked, “what the heck is steampunk?” If Randy doesn’t know a style, then I’m golden. If you find yourself asking the same question, Chastidyi describes the steam punk style best in her blog as a “mix of victorian/art nouveau flair with harsher mechanical machinery.”

Williams Wood Castle located in West Knoxville could not have been a more perfect backdrop, which set the tone for the Gaslight Enchantment Shoot. Intermingling the magical floral artistry by Leslie of , LB Floral together we created a ceremony and reception site incorporating non-traditional wedding decor items such as bare lightbulbs, gutter covers, and chains. To soften the harshness of the industrial elements Leslie used light purple in the floral arrangements following through with deeper shades of eggplant in the linens.

As you view the pictures you may recognize a familiar face, my dear boyfriend Luke. As you know, modeling is not his profession, but he really came through in the clutch. The shoot turned out beautifully, be sure not to miss any of the small details!
