Very soon after I began working with the Johnson family I knew they were going to become some of my favorite people in Knoxville. Fun and outgoing with deep family roots we knew the wedding of their only daughter had to reflect their personalities. The couple, Joy Johnson and John Cooper, wanted to have their wedding at Joy’s family home appropriately named Havenwood. The beautifully blooming gardens provided the perfect setting, antique heirloom hutches displayed food and favors, and even the getaway car was extra special by sharing the groom’s name, John Cooper, mini cooper. The bride’s brother and sister-in-law (Elenowen) performed while the couple shared their first dance as husband and wife. Whimsical Gathering created an organic, yet classic feel using blush pink, white, and soft green floral palette. Bradford Catered Events provided a delectable menu including sweet potato biscuits, BBQ and a pasta bar, guests could choose to dine under the tent or in the more intimate setting around the pool. Guests danced the night away to classic tunes by the Tyrone Smith Band. HoneyBee Events provided vintage couches and chairs surrounding the dance floor for the dancers that needed to take a much needed break. Just as the wedding party and guests alike began to tire yet another special surprise in the form of Krystal’s burgers as a late night snack kept the party going.
